HCMC to auction 5 land lots with 3,790 Thu Thiem resettlement apartments in October

The HCMC People’s Committee has approved the plan to auction land use rights, buildings and other assets on 5 land lots in An Khanh Ward — home to 3,790 apartments built for resettlement from the Thu Thiem New Urban Area. The auction is expected in October.

What the auction plan includes

• 5 lots up for auction: 1.K7.9.HH (formerly lot R1), 1.K7.5.HH (R2), 1.K7.6.HH (R3), 1.K7.8.HH (R4) and 1.K7.7.HH (R5), all in An Khanh Ward.
• These 5 lots hold 3,790 resettlement apartments in blocks R1–R5 of the Thu Thiem New Urban Area resettlement housing, completed in 2015.
• The auctioned assets were created with State budget funds, including both land use rights and the value of the buildings on the land.
• Starting prices for land use rights and buildings will be determined, appraised and approved by the competent authority at the time of the auction, not fixed in advance in the decision.
• The Department of Agriculture and Environment leads, with the Department of Finance, Department of Construction, Department of Planning and Architecture, HCMC Tax and An Khanh Ward People’s Committee, in reviewing boundaries, area, land use, planning and architecture criteria, current condition and value of assets on the land.
• The auction dossier must fully disclose conditions on land, planning, investment, housing and real estate business, as well as the rights, obligations and responsibilities of the winning bidder.
• The city requires that the auction be held only after all legal conditions on land, public asset management and asset auctions are met.
• The HCMC Land Fund Development Centre will hold the auction under the approved plan, and is responsible for selecting the auction organisation, preparing the dossier, publishing information and running the auction.
